Our staff comprises of strong activists who have been on the field since 2006, with a great knowledge that made the organization be awarded national awards on Best responses to HIV/AIDS, and Gender Based Violence in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
The Director was awarded the Best National Leader in 2015 and she is the Continental Chairperson for Pan African Positive Women Coalition.
To provide preventative Covid19 messages /information to People living with HIV and AIDS (PLHIV) and Screening for NCDs in Kanye through Support groups and Community Health Workers by Jan-Dec 2023. To promote adherence and Retention into care and treatment through integrated community-based services and screen for NCDs and refer for early detection.
The approach taken, prevention by raising awareness. We support, healing through counselling, safety for provision of shelter. Linking clients to legal Aid through University of Botswana legal department, and government legal aid. Through advocacy and continuous engagement with service providers like police, magistrates, and social workers
Participatory approach to collecting, analysing, and using data, that involves communities in analysing information, to better understand their context or advocate for additional resources, and improvement of service delivery.
In the process of developing a Strategic Plan for Pan African Positive Women Coalition, we have taken approach of doing the needs assessment to be able to determine needs or gaps between a current and the desired outcome. The needs assessment is done in three regions in Africa namely:
Southern Africa: Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe Central Africa: Cameroon,
East Africa: Kenya Tanzania
Trained Chiefs, Social Workers and Police from surrounding police stations including Jwaneng and Gaborone on Understanding Children’s Act and Domestic Act.
Project on fighting Gender Based Violence and COVID-19 and provision of shelter.
